No idea why its taken me so long to draw something from one of my favorite stories. This is Peachblossom, Kel's horse from Tamora Pierce's Protector of the Small series. I love this ill tempered, scared, strawberry roan. This is always how I envision him, ready to bite anything and kick anyone foolish enough to walk behind him (well everyone but Kel, Stephan, Daine, and later Tobe). In all the other images of him I don't see his scars, he has bit, spur, whip, and scars from being improperly saddled. ^-^ I love every scared inch of him.
