So I decided to do the SheduCats's Novice Diploma and I got such a pretty girl to draw for it. 
I've found I love drawing these cats, their anatomy comes to me a lot easier than even that for horses.

Spring in Wyoming was sometimes a very wet affair with rain falling almost every day, turning the ground to a quagmire postponing all riding activities for a sunny day. Beka sighed to herself, even in rain she would prefer to be out doing something. While doing things she could forget the fact she was now without her ever-constant gryphon companion. Gustos had disappeared halfway through the winter on a trail ride in the mountains and had not returned; his loss left the young woman feeling empty and without purpose. She sighed again and got up from the window seat where she had been looking through the rain at the mountains.
Wondering through the expansive home of the Castillo family did not distract her mind; she could not stop thinking about the missing weight on her shoulder and the cold beak that would run through her hair.
